No one reads it.
Your friends might read it and silently judge your preferences in music.
Your mom might read it and worry about you.

“The music you enjoy” and “the music that most deserves a definitive award” are not synonymous. Just because it’s pleasing to your ears, that doesn’t mean it would go in that hypothetical 2014 time capsule if there’s only room for one…

Yesterday, I came across this article, “Concerts Don’t Have to Suck: The Rules,” on The Awl. The headline seemed a little off, but hey, lots of headlines are intentionally written like that in order to encourage clicks.
