Li Bai’s Translation of Amusing Myself

Face wine not aware get dark
Fall flower fill my clothes
Drunk stand step stream moon
Bird far person also few

My Translation of Amusing Myself

Face red as wine, I was not aware of twilight
Falling orchids catching my losses clothes
Drunk in you rising stepping into moonlight streams
Alone with you as birds are far and people too are few

Li Bai translation of Crows Calling at night

Yellow cloud wall beside crow near roost
Return fly caw caw branch on call
Machine in weave brocade Qin river girl
Green yarn like mist separate window speech
Stop shuttle disappointed recall far person
Alone stay lone room tear like rain

My translation

The yellow cloudy fog clings to branches near a crows nest
As a lone bird returns flying, calling in caw, caw, as is perches on a branch
While at her loom, weaving a brocade is a Qin river girl
Whose emerald yarn twist like mist is hidden by a speechless window
The shuttle stops as she hears the sorrowful caw, reminded of her own loss
As she too is alone in her home as tears like rain drop with every caw.
