We’re all going to die. You know it yet you somehow deny it. It’s just one of those life’s truths.

Also just as interesting is that you’re eating dead people. That’s right. Take a step back and think about it. Just as inevitable as it is that we’re all going to die, we also all eventually decay and become

“the thing that stars are made of” — said someone important

This is very interesting because that means we are all made of the same stuff we end up eating. We die, decay, and become the plants; the cows eat those plants (or corn if you’re in the USA) and then you eat them. Circle of life. You sure are tasty great great great great great gramps.

It also puts things into perspective when you think about what I’ll call “planet morality” Lions don’t feel bad for the gazelles they bite to pieces but for some reason we do. It’s probably because we as humans can have empathy. It’s also probably that we are smart enough to know if we eat all of the gazelle’s we’ll die. We are also smart enough to actually get all of the gazelle’s and eat them; which is a problem. Well not specifically for gazelles but for a lot of tasty ocean fish, it’s a problem; sorry snappers.

At the end of the day, however, it’s ok. We’re all going to die just like the animals and plants we killed and get eaten by someone else. Nom Nom everybody.

Stay tuned,
Sterling
