My Journey
My whole life I have always been a very creative and artistic person. Even as a young kid I was putting hours into drawing and painting while taking private art lessons from a career artist. Even though I was always heavily interested in art, I knew that I would probably need something a little more “concrete” as a career choice.
My father growing up was a full time mechanic, so I began to learn the trade through him. This opened up my interests into more technical fields and really showed me the “concrete” skills that I thought I was looking for. After graduating high school and working full time as a mechanic, I realized that being a mechanic wasn’t for me and that I could do so much more. I was always interested in technology and loved computers, having built my own gaming PC’s for years.
I decided to quit my job and go to school for Web Design and Development, a career that includes creative and artistic aspects as well as the technical side of coding. This was perfect for me because I could now use my creative and artistic abilities along with my technical skills for a great career! These days I like to spend my time training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which I consider my art, and learning about web design/development from my classes at UVU.
