Grizzly Beer — a potential logo

In this first project submitted during the agency-company design half of the semester, I developed a logo for a company called “Grizzly Beer”. The name alone spoke “bear” to me, and I tried to develop a logo for the company based on this animal while appealing to their main demographic of 21–35 year-old males.

Unfortunately, when I pitched this logo, it did not succeed in its pitch, and recognizing its flaws overall, chose not to revise it for a later pitch. While the actual text may have been fine, the inclusion of an entire bear to be part of the logo turned out to be overkill, and may have rendered the text unreadable should the logo need to be shrunk. The one guideline given in revising it for a future pitch, implementing the color purple, was not compatible with the idea I had and developed for the logo.
