UX job growth projection — Too good to be true?

I read the informative 2018’s UX Designer Salary Forecast recently and saw the above projection for UX designer job growth over time done by Emsi Analyst in 2017.

As much as I love to believe it, I think the projection’s a bit on the rosy side and selective (data modeling period from 2010 to 2016, right near the end of the last recession).

I am bullish on UX as a career long-term but, like the stock market, nothing goes up in a straight line forever.
