We bet you have heard the term “work-life balance”; a traditional image of a scale that somehow creates a sense of competition between work/life and a defined separation between both — Wait, what? isn’t work part of life? 💭 We definitely think so!

The boundaries that used to exist between these two dimensions have faded and work-life integration has appeared as the means that we can prioritize and integrate both of these parts of our identity.

At SThree, we believe that we can have a positive impact on the way our employees work and live. By creating more synergies between all the areas that define life (such as work, family/home, personal well being, health, and community). Here is how we embrace this integration:

#1 We Recognize needs

It’s not about working more or less, it’s about working smarter. Our management is evolving and flexible working arrangements are more and more common within our company. From working from home to late starts, we think that flexibility is a win-win.

#2 Focus on productivity instead of hours

Instead of counting the hours you work, we prefer to judge your success by the results you produce. Did you close a challenging deal? Did you come up with a new idea to solve a problem? Did you get amazing feedback from a candidate? These are the accomplishments we’d like to take into account — not the hours you spent at the office.

But… if you do want to stay longer, there are few other interesting things you can do:

From inspiration to encouraging team bonding, getting out of the office is a good idea. We believe that inspiration can strike in the oddest places and getting OOO once in a while definitely helps the thought processes of our consultants, it requires them to think outside the norm and boosts their motivation.

#4 Physical Well-being

Well-being matters! This is why we have put in place different activities to help your mind and body stay healthy. Our people have the chance to attend yoga and fitness sessions, and to participate in different official runs. On the other hand, we provide healthy snacks on a weekly basis, cooking classes and mandala sessions once in a while.

#5 Family

A few decades ago, the decision between work and family was made on a regular basis. In today’s world with collaborative technologies, and new forms of management, employees don't need to consider making this choice.
