Over 10 nights, the Apple Music Festival returns to London. This year, 10 major artists will perform; and if you’re in London you can win free tickets to see the shows in person. Otherwise you can stream it at home, or wherever you are. The festival will be at London’s Roundhouse, a former railway engine repair shed which was transformed into a groundbreaking performing arts venue approximately 50 years ago. From 2004–2006 the venue was further upgraded for performances, with added sound protection and reinstating the glazed roof lights, adding more comforts such as cafe’s and bars. Apple further refurbished the venue in 2015, for a previous iTunes Music Festival, “making major upgrades to the lighting, plumbing, and HVAC systems; installing recycling and composting bins… offering reusable water bottles instead of plastic ones… to reduce the Roundhouse’s annual carbon emissions by 60 tons, save 60,000 gallons of water a year, and divert more than 1,600 kilograms of waste from landfills”.

The Festival was previously known as the iTunes Music Festival, and has been quite the awesome event for music lovers, with a broad range of artists that should appeal to almost anyone. This Year’s lineup for myself is not perfect, though I might be introduced to some bands, or impressed by their live abilities and appreciate their music too.

I am looking forward to seeing Chance the Rapper the most this time, and maybe Britney for the nostalgia value. Past festivals have been filmed very well, and if you have a decent TV and Sound setup it’s the closest thing to being at the live event you can experience.
