Many Cambodian dishes are very good for your health. Pineapple soup is one of the healthiest and most popular soups in Cambodia.

It is my favorite soup of all time for several reasons.

First of all it could be made of many kind of meats. The soup could be made of fish, chicken, pork or pork rib. You could also use many kind of vegetables. The vegetables could be herbs, winter melon, pineapple, lotus trunk, tomato and white sprout.The flavor is light but scrumptious.

Second of all, this savory- sour sweet soup is very easy to make.The key to achieving good taste is that the meat and vegetables are fresh. Tamarind is the best ingredient that works well to make the soup sour.The glorious color and flavor is only improved by additional of cooked egg and lastly some greasy garlic.This soup could be served with white or brown rice or noodle.

Tomato and pineapple and green herbs bring out the colors of the soup. This is simple hot soup at its most appealing.

Before you serve it, don’t forget to add the sweet herbs for an extra kick.Enjoy the soup and don’t rush when it comes to eating.
