Supercharge Your Podcast Life with Custom Playlists
Get your podcast life organized with custom playlists in Stitcher!
Do you have way too many shows on your favorites list? Are you a bit overwhelmed? This is where custom playlists on Stitcher can really come in handy.
Here’s how I use them:
I have a Daily News, Comedy Favorites, and a “Want To Listen To” list.
When I start my day, I usually want to know what’s happening with the news, so I’ll fire up my Daily News custom playlist. There I have all my favorite daily news shows like The Daily, Up Next, and Today Explained. Once I hit play on one of the shows from the list, it goes right into the next one when it’s over.
When I am in the mood for comedy, I know I can find a bunch of my favorite comedy shows in my “Comedy Favorites” list. I love tapping into my comedy list and browsing through what’s new with shows like Comedy Bang! Bang!, Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend, and Punch Up The Jam.
My last custom playlist is a nifty little trick. I kind of use it like my Amazon wish list. With the amount of new podcasts that come out each week, there’s always something new I want to listen to. Sometimes I am not quite ready to put it in My Favorite’s list, so I created a “Want To Listen” list. It’s where I put all the shows I well… want to listen to. Never lose track of that new podcast you heard about!
Alright, so maybe you have some list ideas now. How do you make them? It’s easy!
- Tap the 3 dots option button in the top right of your My Podcasts page.
2. Tap “Add New List” and name your list.
3. When you’ve found a show you want to add to a list, tap the add button on the show page.
4. Add to whichever list you’ve created.
