We are excited to announce that we have launched the first version of STK Payment Channel on Ethereum Mainnet!

STK is now live on Ethereum Mainnet.

After multiple internal and external security audits and a year of development, we are finally on the Ethereum Mainnet. Even though it has been audited by an external auditor, we advise users to limit the amount of tokens in the payment channel as a security measure. Our smart contract is audited by ChainSecurity and the full details can be found here.

This release includes all the features that are mentioned in our Multi-token Payment Channels article. All of our smart contracts are open-sourced.

What does being on Mainnet mean?

Previously, we were testing our payment solution on Kovan; therefore, it only works with ERC20 tokens that are deployed on Kovan network. It is a Proof of Authority (PoA) testnet blockchain for Ethereum. Decentralized applications are typically deployed on testnets before being deployed on the Mainnet since it would be very expensive to test features and identify security vulnerability.

Now, our payment solution works on Mainnet with every ERC20 tokens which have real economic value.
