Starting player for the United States Women’s National soccer team and key player on the Orlando Pride soccer team, Alex Morgan is going to win the MVP Award.

Morgan’s professional career started with playing for the Golden Bears at University of California, Berkeley. There, she led her team in scoring numbers and completed her university career by making UC Berkeley history. Morgan ended ranking third in all time goals scored for the university at a total of 45.

After playing for a few various clubs across the country, Morgan landed with the Orlando Pride in 2016, where she has been playing ever since. In the 2018 season, Morgan played 19 (17 as a starting player) games, 1500 total minutes, and had a mere threee subs off the field. Also important to mention, she was not given a single yellow card or red card throughout the entirety of the season.

Her skill on the field demonstrates a high level of capability as well. With 273 total successful passes in the 2018 season, Morgan obtained a 60% pass success rate and a 19% long pass success rate.

Both a fair and highly skilled player, Morgan was called up to the senior United States Women’s National Team in 2010. Since then, she has made FIFA World Cup appearances and Olympic game appearances, London in 2012 and Rio in 2016. The London games ended with a gold medal and the US took home the championship in the 2015 FIFA World Cup.

To add to her list of accomplishments, Morgan was named the 2012 Female Athlete of the Year by the United States Soccer Federation. Additionally, Morgan was named both the United States Women’s National Team 2018 Player of the Year and the Concacaf 2018 Player of the Year.

Morgan has had an unbelievably successful and amazing career thus far, with no finish line in apparent sight. Her name should already be engraved on the MVP Award.
