A team stacked full of exceptionally talented and top tiered players, the Duke Blue Devils are on their way to the 2019 NCAA tournament title.

Foremostly, Duke’s basketball team is spotlighted as the top recruiting class in the country. At two of the Blue Devil players, Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett, are both in the top NBA draft prospects. The two players are predicted to be the first and second picks of the draft.

To no one’s major surprise, Duke has been favorited and leading the NCAA bracket rankings since they were first announced. Currently, Duke holds the number four spot on the charts. Always giving it over their 100 percent effort, the Blue Devils are arguably the best team in the country when they are playing at the peak of their game.

A huge contributor to Duke’s success is the Blue Devil’s head coach, Mike Krzyzewski. Krzyzewski has been at Duke since 1980. Since then, the Blue Devils have made it to the final four twelve times, not to mention the five championship titles Duke has achieved under Krzyzewski’s leadership.

Already favored to be the national champions, the Blue Devils have an overall record of 26–4 this season. This newest record comes after a 71–70 win against the Wake Forest University Deacons.

Duke has beat seven of the top 20 teams in the country. Out of their four losses overall this season, three of them fell to the match up of other to top 20 teams.

The team excels in both directions on the court. Offensively, Duke is placed at third in the nation. Defensively, the Blue Devils are at fourth in the country.

Being the consensually favorited team in the NCAA to win the tournament, with key players and a highly experienced coach, the Duke Blue Devils already have Madness in the bag.
