How to master iOS9 Wallet’s new rewards feature with Stocard
With Apple’s big iOS 9 release, iPhone users are excited to have a new OS that makes their devices smarter, faster and more efficient than ever. The brand-new Apple Wallet will change the way we pay in-store and how we experience retailers’ loyalty programs. Stocard still is the only app, which allows iPhone users to store all their other rewards cards in one place and push them to the Apple Wallet.
When Apple announced iOS 9 and its features, we were curious to discover how Apple would update Passbook to meet today’s challenges in retail. In our opinion, extending its features to become a fully functioning Wallet offers many benefits for their users. The growing acceptance of Apple Pay in stores is a big advantage and will pave the way for the future of shopping.
In addition to the financial functions of the Wallet app, Apple will also let users add rewards cards to their Wallet. These cards allow you to earn bonuses and cash-back rewards when shopping at participating retailers. Rewards cards which will be supported from day one in the Wallet app include Walgreens Balance Rewards, Kohl’s Yes2You Rewards, Dunkin’ Donuts Perks as well as programs from Coca-Cola, Panera Bread, and Wegmans Food Markets.

All you have to do to add a card to Stocard is: select the card you want to add and scan the barcode with your iPhone’s camera. That’s it! The app will then create a digital copy of your rewards card within Stocard. At the store, just show your rewards card in Stocard to receive all your discounts and rewards - just like you usually would with your plastic card. To push your rewards card to the Wallet app, tap the “Add to Wallet” button at the bottom of your card entry in Stocard, confirm the pop-up by choosing “Add” in the top right corner of your screen and - done! Apple Wallet supports the barcode types QR, PDF417, Datamatrix & Code_128.
With Stocard, users can store all their rewards cards conveniently in one free app instead of downloading each retailer’s app separately (if there is one), going through an often complicated log-in process and then manually pushing the card to the Wallet app.
