Working with Sebastian Ahlskog again, meet our new CFO 💥

When you build a business the second time, some things are easier. For me, I changed industries completely and so most of the amazing people I had the pleasure of working with in the past, are just not suitable to work with again. But there’s one person that I had in mind from Day One: Sebastian!

The first time I interviewed Sebastian was about 10 years ago at Videoplaza. The less mature version of me thought he was just way too nice and could not possibly be a high performer (I know, super embarrassing!!!). But Hanna Linden who ran the People function told me gently to “just meet him again”. And so I did and just as Sebastian joined Videoplaza, the $10M funding round that was almost closed broke apart and we ended up spending a lot of time together during what came to be the defining year for the company.

We made plenty of plans, succeeded and failed at raising money while eventually successfully selling the company to Telstra. We went through a lot. For me to have Sebastian next to me during that intense year made the whole difference — I survived. Sebastian is not only a super nice guy, he’s also extremely ambitious and a great leader, someone you want as part of your team.

This time with Stockeld Dreamery it’s different. We have a solid foundation, a much bigger plan and we are building a company to last. This plan requires a CFO of his caliber early on. Welcome to the team!
