When creating a new product, we know how important it is to remember who you’re building for and to stay connected with them every step of the way. We’ve done this by routinely reaching out to users in creative industries, those who we envision using Chipmunk every day, and asking for their feedback: what are the problems you face on a daily basis? How can we make your life easier? And as we add new features, we check back in: is this working the way you think it should? Are there any pain points or areas you think could be improved?

We continually integrate this feedback into Chipmunk to be sure the tool we’re building is what real teams working on real projects need and want — not what we think users need. Recently, during a conversation with an early adopter, the team pointed out that our existing pricing structure didn’t fit with their team’s needs, even as they continued to grow. Our Pro plan offered more than their team needed, making it difficult for them to justify the upgrade even as they began reaching the limits of their free account.

After reflecting on our customer’s needs and our business needs, we decided to create an intermediate subscription tier, Chipmunk Plus, alongside our Free and Pro plan options. We believe Chipmunk Plus is a perfect solution for growing teams, those who want to test the waters, or those working on resource-intensive projects.

Plus adds 10 GB of storage per user for up to 10 users. Pay monthly and the cost is $15 per user, per month or save up to 20% with an annual subscription for only $12 per user, per month — a savings of $360 per year for a team of 10. More about Plus in our Pricing FAQ.

We’re very fortunate to have a community of supportive and helpful creators and we’re delighted to make Chipmunk more accessible to them, allowing us to grow up beside them.
