Feb ’23 — July ’23 detailed summary analysis
Hey folks, it’s time for another performance update of our AI’s recent stock picks. Apologies for the long delay as we were focusing on model improvements and new features such as portfolio trends summary tabs.
We decided to add a median to the calculations from now on to get some more real-world judgement as a few picks from the recent period massively skewed the average to the upside.
There’s a lot of ways that the performance can be evaluated in algo-trading. We’ve decided to stick to the following methodology:
AI’s accuracy in picking stocks
Number of stocks that gained more than 1% since the moment they were picked by the system until the day the accuracy is evaluated. Also, stock price cannot go lower than provided lowest stop loss levels.
Gain percentage
Percentage gain of the stock price since the time it was picked until the sale recommendation from the system or current state if the stock is still recommended to hold at the time of evaluation. Note, that picks that didn’t increase in value should be stopped by the provided stop-loss levels.
Overall portfolio gains
Obviously single stock gain doesn’t translate to overall portfolio increase. In a healthy, balanced portfolio a single trade should be just a % of the total capital invested. At this point, it’s very personal depending on which picks you’d take from our AI and whether you trade standard or options. Our estimations can be only applied to standard trading — options would naturally give you much larger returns.
