How Narrowing Your Focus Unlocks True Freedom
We live in an age saturated with options. From the cereal aisle to career paths, dating apps to endless streaming services, the modern world presents a seemingly infinite tapestry of choices. We are told this abundance is the very definition of freedom — the liberty to pick and choose, to be anything and do anything. Yet, for many, this overwhelming sea of possibility doesn’t feel like liberation. Instead, it can breed anxiety, indecision, and a perpetual sense that we’re missing out. We become curators of a superficial existence, sampling widely but mastering little, ultimately feeling scattered and surprisingly unfree.
