Tinku liked sports and especially running. She loved the sports day at school. This year she had participated in the running race. She had watched Usain Bolt win the Olympics 100 m race a few days back, and wanted to emulate her idol by winning the running race.

The teacher told the children to stand at the starting line.

“Ready, Get-set, Go” .. The children were off. Tinku ran very very fast and crossed the finish line before everyone else. She was very happy and was jumping with joy. She would get a gold medal for this.

The podium was arranged and Tinku got to stand on the top. Her friend Nihu had come second and was standing next to her. The teachers got the Gold medal and were about to give it to Tinku, when suddenly …

A big space ship came down from the sky. It was big and red, the shape of a Football, flattened at the top and bottom. It landed smoothly on the school ground without making any noise at all. Everyone was so surprised, that they stood in their places as if frozen. Everyone was looking at the spaceship intently.

The top of the spaceship opened slowly, and a big robot came flying out from it. It flew in the sky .. and came down near the podium, everyone was staring at the robot, not knowing whether to run away or stay still. The robot landed near the teachers and said in a booming voice “Hand over all the Gold medals. We are robots from outer space and collect Gold Medals from various planets” Saying this, the Robot grabbed all the Gold Medals and started flying back to he space ship.

Where was Tinku? She was not at her place, at the top of the podium. Everyone was so engrossed in looking at the robot that no one realised that Tinku had disappeared !

Tinku had quickly run around the school where no one could see her. She pulled out her magic wand and said “Abra-ka-dabra Gili-Gili-Chu Pegasus, my flying horse, come here” And a beautiful white horse with large wings came flying through the sky towards her. She waved her magic wand again and said “Abra-ka-dabra Gili-Gili-Chu Dress me up like a warrior princess” And her dress changed from her school uniform to a grand armour, she wore a golden helmet and a had a pink cape.

She jumped on to the flying horse and quickly flew behind the Robot who was quickly going towards the spaceship.

The Robot saw Tinku coming towards it and quickly flew high in the sky. Tinku followed, urging Pegasus to fly faster. The Robot was powered by a special engine and could move really fast. But Pegasus and Tinku kept up with it.

The Robot flew over the mountains .. Tinku followed. It flew over the large ocean and over dense forests .. Tinku followed .. It flew over large cities and small villages .. People thought that there were a couple of planes in the sky. Tinku managed to keep up with the Robot. Finally Tinku had an idea. She pursued the Robot, so that they went to the Artic region, where it was very cold. Tinku’s armour was magical so she did not feel the cold, but the Robot’s engine failed due to the cold and it slowed down.

Tinku quickly drew her magical sword, and cut of the Robot’s hand which held all the gold medals. She gathered all the medals, kept it in her pouch and flew back to the school ground.

The chase was very fast and Tinku was back in the school ground in a few minutes. The children and teachers were surprised again, to see a flying horse coming towards the school ground and on riding it a warrior princes. This was too much .. First a space ship .. and now a flying horse.

The warrior princess gave the gold medals to the teacher and flew up again. The teachers were too dazed to speak. They just took the medals quitely and kept staring at the warrior princes.

Tinku went behind the school again and said

“Abra-ka-dabra Gili-Gili-Chu Pegasus go back” ..

“Abra-ka-dabra gili-gili-chu let me be dressed in my school uniform again ..” and finally

“Abra-ka-dabra gilt-gili-chu let the spaceship and robot disappear and let everyone forget what happened”.

With her last bit of magic, everyone in school forgot what happened and the teacher who was about to give the medal to Tinku was surprised to see that Tinku was not at her place. But just then Tinku quickly ran towards the podium jumped on top, and the teacher gave her the medal.

Everyone clapped and cheered .. but only Tinku knew about the adventure that took place to get the medals back !
