Decoding The ‘Item Songs’ In Indian Films!
The lustful songs that are added to a movie, only to show women as a sex-object and nothing more. Is it right or is it wrong? Decoding morality.
Indian movies are full of drama, entertainment, spice and music. Many times you will find that the storyline is broken, it’s absolute rubbish and sometimes even sense-less. But that is the catch here. Indian commercial movies are rarely made with an objective of showing a powerful story on screen.
Most commercial movies that are produced in ‘Bollywood’ are just masala-drama (spiced up drama movies), and their purpose is to provide entertainment to the audience, that is bored and exhausted with their life and problems.
Till few years in the past, Indian audience was also crazy about nonsense movies, for which they didn’t need to use their brains. But it changed when online streaming platforms, Netflix and short-films came into the scene. Now, with mostly young audience watching a movie in high numbers, even producers and story-writers have to think twice before making something ridiculous.
