Meet Daniil Miroshnichenko — Storiqa iOS Developer.

Daniil, tell us please about yourself and your department. What are your responsibilities and what are you working on now?

I’m an iOS developer in Storiqa and I’m working on a cryptocurrency wallet TURE now. Before that, I have already developed 3 cryptocurrency wallets and I think I’m the only one developer in Moscow who has created so many crypto wallets. :D

iOs developer is not who I became immediately. Before that, I was a programmer in rocket industry — my responsibilities included a navigation control. iOS development was only a hobby at that moment. Later, I became to be more and more involved to it, equally with having an increasing interest to blockchain when it was not even a mainstream. I even remember BTC 600$ price but I couldn’t get rich with it — well, like all other. :D Finally, I realized I wanted to improve my professional skills towards blockchain.

What trends in the mobile development field would you like to highlight? Which of them do you follow doing your job?

I work with Swift — a language created by Apple specially for iOS development; also use trendy architecture ways like VIPER and SOA, and Realm framework. The main trend nowadays is to make an app not only good-looking (what’s important for iOS and not just it) but flexible as well, in order the app to comply with business requirements, — and in our case it also has to “rhyme” with Storiqa marketplace. I am fond of building a proper architecture and want people who use our app and buy something on our marketplace to get high because of its forethought, flexibility, and unity of all these tools.

Why is that important? Because each startup begins with an idea — and no matter how genius it might be, you have to make some fixes and improvements once a product has received feedbacks from market players.

What do you see as a fundamental difference between iOS and Android apps? Or there is no difference at all?

Certainly, many will think about an aesthetic point at first. :) But I’d like to highlight one huge and vital contrast: reliability. iOS can always give you an encrypted storage for sensitive data — a chip encrypting all the data, and it’s almost impossible for malicious users to get it.

What has made you interested in Storiqa?

As I already told, I am fond of blockchain and see it as a future. I’ve been working with crypto for the past year; Storiqa has interested me immediately — particularly, the reason was that blockchain organically fits into its structure and improves STQ as a payment method. I want to be involved in something brand new, awesome and innovative — that’s why I’m here.

Creating a really good wallet is not an easy task, isn’t it? Could you please tell if there are some non-obvious things that must be considered and implemented from the very beginning?

Non-obvious… actually, it is true for any software that you must pay maximum attention to architecture elaboration — you must think ahead what solutions will allow to avoid any deadlocks while developing the product. That’s why I believe that it’s much better to spend a lot of your time on architecture: draw something a little longer, consider something in your head, set it out one more time, and only then start coding.

What are the most complicated tasks you have faced? What helped you to solve this?

Weirdly, the most complicated thing is… communication! You always have something to agree upon, clarify, give the information in a correct way and make sure the info you received is a correct one. :) But as Storiqa is a startup, I was ready for that.

Please tell us about anything (a fact, short story, task) what our community would like to know about your job.

Our team has a specific atmosphere which might seem a little weird to people “from the outside”: we do like to joke about each other, and sometimes these jokes are rather edgy. :) But though it might look odd, it gives us some kind of charge for productive collaboration.

“Storiqa team is…” — describe with a couple of words. What is the secret of a successful team, in your view?

Storiqa team is a challenging team. But it’s very cool still. The secret of the success is… I’ll tell a trivial but true thing. The secret of the success is every single person who realizes the overall aim and works hard to achieve it. And maybe we have it “blurred” sometimes, we can always be united at the right moment — and this is what I do appreciate.

Indeed. Thank you for the interview and have a good day!
