Why group app critique?

Hi all! We are excited to announce that we formed a group of five ambitious designers and do weekly app critique sessions together. Design is collaborative. It is easy to be biased when doing design as the sole designer. Hence we would like to explore the form of group discussion to learn about others’ thoughts and exchange brilliant ideas. :D

Upcoming App Critique — Instacart

Instacart will be our first pick! We will switch between popular apps and emerging apps every week as to be more familiar with the overall design trend. Here is a quick spoiler of what you can expect from our first app critique session:

• Pros & cons of an unusual user interface (e.g. sticky notification)
• Shall we always enable group planing?
• Is chip filter the best choice to implement?
• Caution! The Web version may have a different set of targeted users!
• Design consistency across different operating systems
