The boy giant who uncovers the secret to success.
By Jasky Singh

A Boy was born abnormally larger than most kids. At his school he towered above his peers, and had an engraved physique with limbs of chiseled stone. Thus, he became inclined to taking part in physical competitions where he could leverage this unfair advantage.

He competed at wrestling with anyone across his town, and he would easily out-wrestle them all. He was the best in town, and he made sure everyone was aware of the fact.

When the national championships came along, and the Boy was invited to participate. Without hesitation, he accepted. Inviting all those he knew to come watch him win.

Friends, family, classmates all looked on as the Boy got knocked senseless, in humiliating fashion, by competitors who were dwarves in comparison of size. Each bout, barely lasting seconds.

The Boy placed a firm last.

Reality struck that he was a big delusional fish in a small pond. He had always sought to be the best, which had meant he wasn’t.

The boy travelled to far away lands where the greatest competed, and enrolled in only those schools where he would be the most inferior. The bravado was replaced by a burning desire to improve, as he was crushed day in day out by these fighters. The Boy nursed his wounds by closely observing their talents, and reverse engineering what made them great.

As soon as the Boy became the best at a school, he moved to the next where he would again be the most inferior. He continued this way until the next national competition date arrived.

Inviting no one this time, the Boy mopped the floor with the entire competition, even those that had humiliated him the previous year. This time he made them look like untrained novices. As he stepped up to receive the highest honour, instead of brainless confidence, he was crouched with equal humility. Privy to the secret of success

In his quest to be the most inferior fighter, he realised that today no fighter exists that could make him inferior any longer.

Be the worst.
