The one variable that separates failures from success.
By Jasky Singh

Two identical twin brothers were both thrill seekers. They had flirted with the greatest of dangers in their lifetime, and had reached a point where no thrill outdid the peak of euphoria they had already experienced.

Running into a scraggily dressed Man with an unkempt beard on one of their adventures, the brothers were asked to join him, the Man said he would introduce them to the greatest rush the world has to offer.

Unsurprisingly, the brothers agreed, and minutes later were standing face to face with the most feared feline of them all. Claws bigger than their fingers, a mouth that opened wider than their head was long, and jaws that could crush a bull’s spine. The brothers were staring into the eyes of a lion and had found their answer.

They wanted to become lion tamers.

The scraggy Man, as they found out, was the most famous lion tamer in the world, nicknamed The Lion King. He immediately began training, readying them to perform alongside him for the next event. He gave them all his strategies that he had developed over decades.

It took weeks before they could put their arms through the cage, then their shoulders, then head.

The day finally came where the brothers were ready to walk in, and that terrifying yet exhilarating feeling the brothers were in search of, now coursed their veins.

The cage dropped and both brothers stepped in. The scraggy Man following closely. The lion looked at the first brother who made the signal he was told, walked up, and patted the giant cat, and the lion sat peacefully. The second brother then did the same and the lion immediately sprung to his feet, he leapt across the cage and clenched the second brother’s neck within its jaw, and in a flash, tore it apart from its body.

Before the scraggy Man could even blink, the second brother’s body limped to the floor, headless, with a growing pool of blood surrounding him.

Mindset is the greatest variable.
