Do we really know how to listen?

I interview my colleague and an incredibly important influence on this project, Dr. Elizabeth Parks, an associate dean at Colorado Mountain College. Her research and teaching blends social scientific and humanistic methods to better understand how we can improve ethical listening with people who are different than us. While an assistant professor at Colorado State University, Dr. Parks and I developed a co-teaching class called Storylistening, and that class inspired the Storylisteners Project.
