How To: Obscure a Subject’s Face
Important stories often have sources you need to protect. How do you do that when you’re shooting video though?
As part of our Persian lesson localization effort, we created a demonstration video to film an interview where the subject of your story has their face be hidden.
The only thing you need for this to work is a room with bright windows in it. When the window is behind your subject, and you’re standing in front of them, the bright sunlight makes your image so bright that you can’t see your subjects face. This works best on bright sunny days. This is a very simple trick, but simple is a good thing in our book.
