Literal translation: to be influenced easily by fall season

Meaning: to get sentimental in fall/ to feel lonely during fall

가을 [gaeul]: fall, autumn

타다 [tada]: to be influenced by the weather or season

Although autumn is such a colorful time, a lot of people feel depressed and lonely during the season. In Korean, even the phrase 가을 타다 [gaeul tada] exists.

e.g.

A: 요즘 우울해 보이네? 너 가을 타니?

[yojeum uulhe boine neo gaeul tani]

You look depressed these days. Getting sentimental in fall season?

B: 그러게.. 우울하다.

[geureoge uulhada]

I think so.. I’m feeling down.
