Caring for Marcie: My Deep Concern for My Beloved Cat.
The issue with Marcie!
Vomiting up her food.
Marcie is a nine-year-old calico who has been having recurring vomiting of her food for the past seven months.
During this time, at-home hairball treatments were used, along with small, frequent meals of pate cat food. The cat underwent five veterinary visits and numerous tests, all of which consistently yielded normal results, showing no signs of strictures, blockages, or other clear issues.
Her blood work also remains normal. All vaccinations are up to date.
Her diet has been changed to pate and soft canned food twice. She is given hairball soft chews, but the vomiting continues to occur periodically. Recently, she was kept at the vet clinic for three days of intensive monitoring due to her ongoing symptoms. This persistent vomiting concerns me, especially since she is losing weight.
Marcie is home today. So far, a clean slate! She is eating, and there has been no vomiting today. Yippie!
