🤝 Tag teammates in episodes

🔍 Search and filter content

… and much more!

Let’s take a closer look at some of the newly released features on Storyboard.

Stay Up to Date Anywhere, Anytime

Offline Mode

No Wi-Fi? No problem!

We’ve found that a significant portion of Storyboard listeners regularly want to listen to episodes in places where they may not have Wi-Fi or data.

Our first targeted Offline Mode allows listeners to see all of their available episodes, as well as episodes that they can download once they are connected again. The goal is to continue delivering an amazing experience for listeners, whether they are in the office, on a walk, or on the road.

The upgraded UI will help guide users to episodes that have already been downloaded. In their Storyboard settings, users can select the option to automatically download episodes when they are connected to Wi-Fi.

This will ensure that they have content in the queue for the next time they are boarding a flight or going on a drive.

Create Conversations with Storyboard Comments

Storyboard Comments consistently prove to be one of the features that sets the Storyboard experience apart. In the comments section, your listeners can ask questions, add their own ideas, or even record a voice response.

We noticed that listeners wanted to tag each other to share their episodes. Think about a Sales manager who listens to a product update and thinks that her team would benefit from learning more.

With this new feature, she can easily tag other members of the team directly in the episode comments. Tagged users will receive a push notification inviting them to open the app and go to the episode.

Once the user clicks the notification, they will land directly on the correct episode and can easily follow all conversations with their team.

New Features for iOS

Now available on iOS (and coming soon to Android!), the Search and Filter functionalities are specifically designed to enhance and elevate your team’s user experience.

Introducing Expanded Search

One of our most requested updates is here: the ability to search within the audio app!

Use the search feature on Storyboard to find exactly what you are looking for

The search feature, located on the top right corner of your iOS app, allows you to easily search and navigate within Storyboard. In this month’s update, Storyboard Search expands to help your listeners find the best content — including results not just for episodes, but also for episode descriptions and Storyboard Groups.

Imagine if a new employee wanted to find an end-of-year update episode or a specific training on an important topic. Search allows them to directly input their request, without spending time endlessly browsing through content.

Storyboard’s search functionality makes it easy for all listeners to search through the archive and find exactly what they are looking for in seconds.

Filter Updates

Need to find episodes that fit into your schedule or cover a specific topic?

Expanded filtering allows you to personalize your Storyboard content

Our filter feature, located on the top left corner of your iOS app, tailors your Storyboard content based on the criteria that you provide. Listeners can now choose from multiple filter options to sort your content, including by Group, episode progress, episode length, and more.

The upgraded filters add functionality to the app and allow you to truly personalize your listening experience. Whether a listener wants to find an episode in under ten minutes, or see a curated list of new episodes, Storyboard Filters offers the right solution to do just that.

The Best Internal Comms Platform for You

We’re determined to help your organization harness the power of audio communication to revolutionize and transform the way your team works.

In a recent POPP (Podcast on Private Podcasts) episode, Storyboard’s Product Marketing Lead, Mariya Harris, joins CEO, JP Gooderham, to discuss newly released features for iOS and other plans on the horizon for the platform in 2022.

  • Simplified Login Flow: There will now be a single entry point for listeners and admins. No need to remember if you use SSO or an email and password to log in. Simply insert your email address and we’ll take care of the rest!
  • Enhanced Storyboard Analytics: Using customer feedback, we’ve made improvements to the formatting of our advanced analytics, including an expansion of the Listener Dropoff Report — a feature favorite among Storyboard creators.
  • New Custom Audio Player: We’ve built our new audio player from scratch with design and usability in mind. It also improves the web listener experience with support for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.

Whether your team is deskless, works from home, commutes into an office, or something else, our new features offer added flexibility to help your employee communications thrive.
