Last year, we redesigned our Project Management experience for clients, to better serve the community as a whole. After hearing your feedback, and learning what other ways we could improve, we’ve rolled out some new features and changes that we’re excited to share.

Real-time Feedback on Your Potential Matches

In an effort to make our service more transparent and user-friendly, we’ve added a feedback tool that provides real-time suggestions for reaching the most freelancers. Before your Posting is submitted, our system will analyze the criteria you entered to determine the size of your potential matches. If it detects changes that could benefit you, the system will recommend them before proceeding.

Redesigned Layout: Easier, Faster, and Clearer

We listened to the feedback of our clients and redesigned our Posting creation tool to reflect their needs: speed and clarity. We slimmed down the page, and made the options more user friendly.

  • Simpler and clearer compensation selection
  • Quick selection of the most common project lengths
  • Quick selection of the most common time frames for Calls for Pitches

Perhaps the biggest change is seen in our Freelancer level curation tool. Instead of a numerical system we’ve implemented more intuitive options. Clients can now choose Basic, Standard, or Premium level curation when publishing their Posting.

For existing users accustomed to the numbers — don’t worry — our new curation terms reference our old system:

  • Basic = Level 1/2
  • Standard = Level 3
  • Premium = Level 4/5

Go Straight to Projects with Direct Hires

We also applied that same design approach to our Hire feature on freelancer profiles — a cleaner and quicker interface that captures all of the necessary info with ease.

In addition, we also made some bigger behavioral changes. When using the Hire feature before, a corresponding Posting and Project were created. To make things simpler, now direct Hires will only create a new Project. This increases efficiency by eliminating unnecessary Postings, and clearly separating Projects from Postings.

These kinds of improvements are made possible thanks to feedback from our users. We want to make Storyhunter the ultimate tool for video-professionals, and thank you for letting us know how we can do just that.
