Gordon’s Gin are offering delayed commuters a free G&T when their trains run late
We’ve all been there. You manage to sneak out of work a few minutes early, rush to the station to catch your train, and there it is — a big, fat DELAYED on the departure board. However, Gordon’s Gin are offering a sweetener to those rail passengers who regularly experience the ‘delights’ of delays.
The Diageo-owned brand has launched a new pop-up service called YayDelay at London’s Waterloo station this February. When trains are delayed, commuters are encouraged to tweet about it using the hashtag #YayDelay. Depending on the volume of tweets and the length of the train delay, YayDelay’s algorithm will calculate whether they’re entitled to a 50% off voucher for a Gordon’s gin and tonic, or whether you get one for free. Vouchers can then be claimed online and redeemed at The Beer House bar located within the station.
Happy commuting!
