A pantoum for starting a new chapter in life

A mistake crossed.
Life to be lost.
Reflections revealed a curse unknown.
Breaking to dust what we’ve been shown.

Life to be lost.
An innocent cost.
Breaking to dust what we’ve been shown.
A conviction for the truth you have grown.

An innocent cost.
The glass shatters to dust.
A conviction for the truth you have grown.
Shackled by fate.

The glass shatters to dust.
Surrender mistrust for a new chapter to take.
Shackled by fate.
Their story will end with trust.

Surrender mistrust for a new chapter to take.
A mistake crossed.
Their story will end with trust.
Reflections revealed a curse unknown.

I am a blue-collar worker. I was born into a blue-collar family. But the poet in me views a world dreaming to be free.
