I cherish every unlearned turning well-learned,
I thank God for every wonder I just wandered
I’m not mad at Him for that — not in my twenty’s,
I cheer on my fail remarks and idiocy
for every bit of it wakes my mind from sleep
the sleep of those who dream by days,
the sleep of those who wait for joys;
the critics, the thrown food, the thumbs-down,
what is better than that?
