Let Me Love Him Fearlessly

A poem about burning for someone despite your fears

by Sadim Sadovski on Unsplash

I ask that you let me love him fearlessly,
would you little soul
Take the risk
of burning down with it all
in an inferno out of control
Take the chance
of having to rifle through the ruins
of a house that’s burned down
Will you take
your flames and fan them,
giving into the willingness
to later thumb through photographs
