Ever so slowly, the leaves fall

Leaving us all

Alone with trees

Bare as bee's knees.

. . .

Pumpkin patches; apple picking

Treat or tricking,

Candles and bats;

Unlucky cats.

. . .

Empty cemeteries at dusk

Carry a musk,

A certain smell

That matches with hell.
