A Poem

Did memories feel out of place?

After roaming through neighborhoods, forests, and caves,

were you still asking yourself

where to go?

People said these feelings didn’t make sense.

But nothing around you even could.

How was it when you met that person —

the one who took the time to learn what you were seeking,

share their insights with you,

and tell you if it’d be wise to walk along the busy road,

drive through isolated terrain,

or hike through undiscovered wilderness

to your destination?

After meeting that person,

did the fog clear?

Did an indistinct world turn crystal?

Now, after learning chances and risks,

the future’s waiting,

waiting to be changed by someone —

you.

So, with that one’s guidance,

you start

with one step.
