The Transient

A Poem

Photo by Steve Johnson on Unsplash

Caught by way of caustic
calligraphy open phrases and
no questions
No answers either then
just the immediate which is
seldom appointed to feeling
Feeling my way through
this war in my gut
harshing chemical imbalance
a flustered robin
lost in the clothesline that
is still full up with clothes
Rusted bits of my car
still falling onto the driveway
bigger pieces now
they might have
belonged to an elaborate puzzle once
