Submission Guidelines!

Storyteller Unplugged is a community of people who help each other by unraveling their stories. We publish unique, high-quality articles that focus on motivating people who are actively seeking tips and techniques to heal, grow, and enhance their lives.

Anyone, of any age, from any place, can submit their article (not previously published anywhere, including Medium), with a bio.

This is not an elite space, reserved for experts, or professional bloggers. This is a publication for real people who are willing to share themselves honestly and vulnerably.

Stories published by Storyteller Unplugged are owned by the author. Writers may remove stories from our publication at their discretion. However, writers who habitually remove stories from our publication without notice will lose the ability to submit.

By submitting to Storyteller Unplugged, you are agreeing to comply with all our rules and requirements.

Rule 1: Submission must comply with Medium’s Rules, Ad-Free Policy, Content Guidelines, and curation Guidelines. Stories violating Medium’s rules will be reported.

Rule 2: Aim for a word count between 800 to 2,000 words. For poetry, there is no distinctive word count.

Rule 3: Submission must be unpublished and locked. You can only republish your stories to your personal blog/Linkedin, or any other publication outside of Medium only after being published by Storyteller Unplugged.

Rule 4: Your article will get rejected if your content whose sole intent is to sell or promote a book, blog, service, tool, or anything we deem to be a product.

Rule 5: Content must be written in fluent, well-organized, and free of spelling, grammatical, and language issues. Writers are expected to fully edit and vet all pieces before submitting them for publication.

Rule 6: All images used must be something the writer has a legal right to publish. Medium is partnered with Unsplash to easily add images with proper citation to every submission.

Rule 7: All images must have a caption clearly citing the source and usage rights, even if it is a photo taken or created by the author.
