I recently read a terrible memoir. If I’d met this woman in real life, I know we’d be friends because we have so much in common. We were born the same year, and both lived in Washington state without running water and power with free-thinking dads who moved and didn’t have regular jobs. I had so much in common with her, but her book was terrible.
