Gear was introduced earlier this year as a way to amplify the Strafe Score experience in the app. After months of testing and tweaking, we’re ready to take it to the next level!
This means we’re finally ready to release Gear to followers of all esports titles!
Wait a minute, what’s Gear?
For those of you who haven’t followed CS:GO or participated in Strafe Score, Gear might be something completely new. In the current game you place a vote before the match and then receive a certain number of points depending on the outcome of the match and the underlying odds.
With Gear, there’s another layer on top of the standard procedure — once your vote is placed you can then affect the number of points you receive by using a Gear!
What’s in store for the future?
We’re constantly working on consuming esports a more fun experience. The introduction of Strafe Score has been a game changer, but we’re also looking into improving our notifications system, introducing more esports titles, offering deeper and wider tournaments coverage and more in the next months!
Some of you may also have noticed that some new design has been implemented lately, which is the start of a re-branding of Strafe.
