How I solved the problem I had: a lack of games that would work for a dad

It’s tough to be a gamer dad, you know?

Nobody wants to pause all day and night:

It ruins all the fun if there’s no flow.

And there’s no pause in shooters like Blacklight.

And so I searched the ‘net relentlessly,

Then in the emulator found a source

Of turn-based games content to wait for me:

Adventures like Warsong and Shining Force.

So villains, seek not respite from my tot.

She’ll not stop me from giving you what for:

I’ll sic my Zylo on your death robot,

Then play tea party, then come back for more.

And if it’s time to eat, or clean, or shower,

Just wait right there — I’ll kill you in an hour.
