Breaking Barriers with No limits!
Most recently I had the pleasure to attend a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion(DEI) Summit presented by Entrust featuring Straetgio as its Keynote Speaker. The Summit touched on the importance of DEI by acknowledging some of the disparities in the tech industry. Both companies have committed to planning strategically to narrow the gap between underrepresented groups and Enterprises by working together to get talent in the door. Some of the topics included:
- The importance and power of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion shaping the work environment
- Initiatives to celebrate, empower, and educate all colleagues
- Strategies to expand DEI through partnerships(Strategio)
Strategio provides Talent creation as a Service by empowering and investing in diverse technology talent, increasing representation for all people, and creating higher-performing enterprises. Strategio pays its Technologist for eight weeks of training covering in-depth topics and tools such as DevOps, SRE, and Full-Stack Engineering. The Enterprise simulator equips individuals with in-demand skills and connects them to clients for 1–2 year job placement. Strategio specifically scouts the talent of underserved and underrepresented groups who have a STEM, Bootcamp, Self-taught, or University background.
Being in attendance at the DEI Summit was a breath of fresh air because it provided peace of mind knowing that there are opportunities for people of color and minority groups in tech! And I’m a part of the legacy to bring forth the change! My experience with Strategio has been nothing but amazing! From the interview process to the workflow environment, I found a company that has invested in me and has given me a sense of belonging. Strategio’s culture and values resonated with my journey and background!
I'm proud to be a part of the Enterprise Simulator because I am able to learn and continue to pursue my passion for serving others. As I continue to grow as a developer, I want to inspire others and build applications to serve and meet the needs of diverse backgrounds. I want to give back and provide a blueprint for people who come from diverse backgrounds that want to enter tech. I am excited for the work that is being done by Entrust and Strategio because it brings awareness and provides a solution to a problem!
