The five key challenges affecting every part of the world
We as business leaders are being held accountable in new ways for the welfare, prosperity, and health of the world. This is because we have not handled five basic challenges: asymmetry (wealth disparity), disruption (by technology), age (demographic pressures), populism (and associated nationalism and global fracturing), and trust (declining confidence in prevailing institutions).
What would it take to rebuild the credibility of the important businesses and other critical multilateral institutions? First, we must accept responsibility for solving these problems — which will require a fundamental shift in thinking.
