A digital breakfast of Tech nuggets
Continued from Pt–2
Setting aside 5 mins to see what else is happening in the world at the start of each day can reap major benefits. Next to coffee, it’s one of the most important parts of my morning routine.
I was curious what works for other designers so I asked my colleagues at the Strategy+Design team about their ‘top of the morning’ feasts. Here’s what our team of UX design, research and strategy experts shared.
Hope it inspires you. Enjoy! Also, check out Part 1 and Part 2 if you missed them.
A daily collection of the latest and greatest digital products / services / games / books / etc.
Britt.co Tech
This is a lifestyle site with articles geared towards women. I like to look at the tech section to see what’s happening over in the consumer side of things. (I’m embedded in enterprise right now and always trying to discover things from the other side that may be applicable).
Codrops
I visit Codrops to get inspiration from the Playground, which has tons of fun experiments around interactions and animation.
Frog DesignMind
For a little tech business perspective.
Apple Insider
Embarrassingly partisan at times, but nonetheless good coverage of apple hardware, software, and apps.
Tested
The Mythbusters guys Jaime & Adam plus their great team supply a near daily dose of art, science, and technology (and often where the three meet), amazing in-depth product reviews & builds and just all things geeky.
The Verge
Partly because I just really like the people at Vox Media, and partly because it’s a decent source for current tech news, I dig The Verge.
Google Ventures
For a little tech business perspective.
MIT Technology Review — The Daily
Always has something unbelievable to learn about.
TechCrunch
A great way to stay on top of trends and events in tech. This info often comes in handy in client conversations, and helps to make sure our strategy recommendations are on point with what’s happening in the marketplace.
