Stratifyd Signals Built-in Data Connectors

Let’s examine four areas where the Signals built-in data connectors can be used for customer analysis:

Website Product Reviews

Customers are quick to rate their experience when purchasing a product online. These rating have a strong effect on buying behavior. Prospective customers read product reviews during their product evaluation period, and often the ratings influence the buyer’s purchasing decision.

Product Managers can stay on top of customer feedback with the built-in data connectors to Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and other e-commerce sites. Signals will categorize the data, provide the most commonly used buzzwords, display the trend over time, and provide the geo-location and id of the source of the feedback. The Product Manager can then drill down into the data to see not only the common issues, but the “why” behind each issue.

Manufacturers can also examine customer feedback on their products across different vendors and retail outlets (Walmart, Amazon, Home depot, Lowes, etc.). Do users prefer a specific online retailer, and if so, why? Perhaps the stores present the product in a different manner. Perhaps the delivery time frame or price varies between retail outlets. Product reviews and comments can provide interesting and useful insights to the performance of the sales channel.

App Store Reviews

Many businesses have mobile apps in the Apple Store and Google Play. Crawling the app stores for user comments is only the first step. Step two is digging into the data for useful insights. Is the app getting better user reviews on Apple or Android, and why? Is user sentiment consistent, improving or declining?

Signals has built-in data connectors to both the App Store and Google Play, making it easy to analyze customer feedback. Data can be compared side-by-side on the screen. This function can be used to compare the app marketplaces to determine if user feedback varies. Another useful capability in Signals is the Custom Widget. This tool provides the ability to use the structured data component (rating, user info, etc.) to gain deep insights from different perspectives.

Customer Interactions

Customer service analysis from chat data and survey data can be performed by uploading data files, or by using one of the built-in data connectors. Take the Salesforce data connector as an example. This data crawler will pull all posts and notes in your Salesforce account. Notes can be attached to Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities, etc. Signals ties these notes back to the account for easy analysis.

The voice of the customer captured in your CRM is a critical component of a customer analysis, and the built-in data connector makes the process easy. You may pivot the data view on account type, account size, geolocation, or other attributes contained in Salesforce.

Social Media Feedback

Sometimes customers don’t provide the feedback directly to the company, they say it to the world in social media. Facebook and Twitter are common platforms for users to express their opinions on any product or service. To analyze these customer experiences we’ve built data connectors to both of these social media platforms. The connectors make it easy to pull the data, and present it for analysis.

Signals enables the analyst to go much deeper than sentiment analysis, and get to the ‘why’ behind the data. Is feedback tied to a time-specific event? Does the feedback vary by geography? You can examine the individual posts for specific buzzwords.

Consistent Data Visualization

Customer analysis identifies the relevant topics, themes, and emerging issues within the data, and then prioritizes the findings into specific action plans. By conducting this analysis on a regular basis, agile companies can quickly react to changing market conditions and improve the customer experience. Post-purchase experience is a key part of the Customer Decision Journey. Companies that understand this critical element, and rapidly implement improvements, will win in the market. By using Signals, the data visualization is displayed in a consistent fashion regardless of source.
