Live Streams come to STRATZ

If you haven’t already heard, Live Matches are now available on STRATZ! We rolled out the first beta preview 3 weeks ago, and then took it live the following Friday. During some of this period, we also pushed out our private new matches analysis app, which is currently in use by one of the best teams in the world in preparation for The International 10.

Today we’ve released a new key feature for live matches — streams! Every match that is associated with official stream(s) now allows you to play any live stream that’s detected for the match! This includes a wide range of lower level leagues that aren’t included in most other live match services.

This week also saw the entire Live Match system get a thorough debugging and maintenance check, including almost 10,000 lines of code being reviewed. Live Matches detection was significantly improved during this, ensuring that if you can see the match in the client, you can see it on STRATZ. Pre-match data also received a major buff, allowing for live draft tracking in captain’s mode matches, and resolving an error that could prevent updates from coming in for all pick matches that a user opened before the match began.

Note: Safari is currently having some issues with live streams

On another side of the dev stack, STRATZ AI got some welcome improvements this week, especially for hero letter grades, sourced from the STRATZ+ Draft Assistant. A bug had been preventing the correct letter grades from appearing, which resulted in many drafts looking extremely one-sided.

Ingi ist zurück

A few months back, a dedicated member of the STRATZ community and our primary German Translator, Ingi, discovered the hard way that there was an issue in Gitlocalize, the localization software we use to manage STRATZ products. This led to a long, albeit necessary, delay in the release of updated strings to all languages. That delay ended a few weeks ago, and we’re happy to be back on track to support as many languages as possible!

Today, we’re also very pleased and grateful to announce that Ingi has gotten the German language up to date with all the latest strings, providing maximum support! Thanks to the continued dedication of our community translators, STRATZ has nearly full support for Russian, Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, Thai, and German! ❤️

Think you’ve got what it takes to join the STRATZ team? We’re looking for a new Frontend React Developer!
