A former Incel shares his findings.

Robby Johnson once described himself as “a pasty white boy with not a lot of muscle and a weird-shaped head.” He was introducing himself to a reddit community dedicated to inceldom. For those of you who don’t know what an incel is, stop reading and thank your chosen God.

Robby had trouble making friends at school, but never resented his peers until he came across this chronically-online community. They shared his sense of isolation and told him that his struggles weren’t his fault. Robby was happy to listen as they earnestly taught him the ways of group-catastrophizing about the hopelessness of modern dating, eventually deciding he was ready to take the red pill.

“So the red pill isn’t a real pill,” explained Robby. “But it’s like a willingness to see through society and find out how much is B.S. Everybody’s been really helpful since I agreed to take it. They’re showing me how to avoid being cucked and warning me about how teachers and politicians want me to be a soy boy. I don’t know how true it all is, but they seem really sure and I don’t think I’m cut out to be a Chad.”
