As we’re now migrating the NFTs to other blockchains, it’s time to reveal more details about AngryMonky, the reasons for the upgrade, and what the community can expect.
STRMNFT: where it all started
In May 2022, we launched STRMNFT with a standalone blockchain, created with a focus on simplifying the user experience. We knew that many users wanted to experience NFTs but didn’t know how to get started. This is where STRMNFT and Stream Chain 1.0, our mainnet, came into action.
STRMNFT presented a mixture of Web2 and Web3 functionalities. It had an email and password authentication for easy sign-in. Registering on the marketplace and connecting MetaMask were everything users needed in order to explore, trade, and create NFTs.
More than a year has passed since the launch of STRMNFT. Over 100,000 users have joined; many creators have listed their collections exclusively. The community has grown tremendously. Collectors and creators have become more knowledgeable.
Based on those remarkable developments, we realized that it’s time to move towards a full Web3 experience on a decentralized platform with multiple blockchains. This is one of the reasons behind the transition to AngryMonky. Another important reason was following our new strategy in 2023 to move towards decentralization, giving users more control over their assets.
On AngryMonky, users will have everything the community loved about STRMNFT but with more features, speedy animations, additional blockchains, and a revamped website and design visuals.
Stream Chain: new update under development
We’ll be focusing on Stream Chain 2.0, our upcoming mainnet that will be based on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). When Stream Chain 2.0 is launched, it will be available on AngryMonky, offering new features, low fees, and better integration with our ecosystem. As part of this transition, the operations on Stream Chain 1.0 will be halted after AngryMonky is live.
AngryMonky: beyond rebranding
This upgraded marketplace has everything the community asked for — and more. Here’s what you can expect from AngryMonky at launch:
- Complete UI/UX revamp with improved animations.
- Support for more blockchains: Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain (BSC), and Polygon.
- Ability to list collections on other marketplaces: OpenSea, Rarible, and more.
- Full wallet integration: Signing in will be done through wallets.
- More decentralization: NFTs can be stored and transferred through wallets.
- New supported wallets: MetaMask and Coinbase at the launch (more to be added later).
- Full trait support: Users can filter NFTs through traits based on rarity.
- Support for migration: All authentic NFTs on STRMNFT will be migrated.
- Other features will be available later, such as adding the Stream Chain 2.0 mainnet and more.

2. Supported Media Formats, Marketplace & Fees
Migration and upgrade timeline
The AngryMonky upgrade has already started, and the launch will be on October 4 at 10:00 AM GST. Creators who have chosen to migrate NFTs to Ethereum or BSC will have their collections on those networks upon the launch. The remaining NFTs are being migrated to Polygon.
A snapshot will soon be taken on STRMNFT to finalize the migration. The final stage of the migration will be between September 22 and October 3. During this period, you’ll have temporary disruptions in certain functionalities, including NFT trading, burning, and transfers. Once the migration is finalized, you’ll be all set to enjoy a new NFT experience on AngryMonky!
Before the snapshot, all NFT owners and creators on STRMNFT must have a MetaMask connected to STRMNFT. The same wallet will be used on AngryMonky to claim the migrated NFTs.
