ETH Payments: Buy and Sell NFTs with Ethereum on STRMNFT!

We’re pleased to announce that Ethereum payment has been successfully implemented on STRMNFT. Creators can now list their NFTs in ETH, while users will be able to pay for the NFT directly using MetaMask.

What do you need to know about ETH in STRMNFT?

Based on users’ feedback, we noticed that some creators and collectors prefer to use ETH to buy or sell. While the NFTs on STRMNFT are based on Stream Chain, not Ethereum, we were able to implement the ETH payment to work through MetaMask.

As the ETH gas fees are considerably higher compared to Binance Smart Chain (BSC), we’ve put a minimum limit on how much a user can price their NFTs: 0.0175 ETH. This limit was necessary so the buyers won’t need to pay more for ETH gas fees than for the NFT itself.

Another thing to consider when using ETH on STRMNFT is that the NFT transaction may take a few more seconds to complete. This is because ETH is relatively slow compared to BSC when it comes to processing payment transactions.

For the time being, you can only use ETH to sell or buy NFTs directly. Based on feedback, we’ll decide how and when to implement WETH, so users can make offers and place bids on auctions.

How to buy and sell with ETH on STRMNFT?

Buying NFTs with ETH

1. To find NFTs priced in ETH, go to collections or any of the available NFT categories, then click on the filter and select ETH.
2. Make sure you have sufficient balance to buy the NFT and pay for gas fees.
3. Click BUY, wait until MetaMask pops up, then click Switch network.
4. Check the tick mark box, then click Payment.
5. Approve the transaction on MetaMask to proceed.
6. When the payment is complete, wait for around one minute and refresh the page to see that the NFT has been transferred to your account.

Selling NFTs in ETH

1. Go to the NFT you want to list for sale in ETH and click Sale.
2. Set the price and choose ETH from the Coin Type menu (the minimum sell price is 0.0175 ETH).
3. Click Sale.
