Smashcast Shuts Down?! (Why Esports killed this platform)

It seems the one-time streaming platform Smashcast.tv has shut down.

Smashcast came into being after the Azubu acquisition of Hitbox. Hitbox was shut down and Smashcast took over as their streaming platform.

After months of connection issues that resulted in Restream.io to remove them from their service list as per this release, they emailed to everyone:

“Greetings,

After much careful consideration and discussion, we’ve made the difficult decision to cease integrated support for Smashcast.

This change will take full effect on November 22nd, 2020, so please be sure to make alternative arrangements in the future for streaming to this platform.
